Central Venous Catheter Malposition: Case Report

Central venous catheterization is a useful procedure in patients operated at sitting position in neurosurgical operations. A 16 year old female patient who underwent a pontocerebellar angle tumor resection surgery developed air embolus during the operation. Malpositioning of the catheters tip was noticed after surgery by control X-ray. The catheter was positioned properly under scopy.
