Importance Of Bilateral Testis Biopsy In Infertile Men

Testicular biopsy is applied to patients who are asospermic or severe oligospermic whose follicul stimulating hormon (FSH) level is normal. There is a discussion about testicular biopsy should be unilateral or bilateral. İn order to research the essentiality of bilateral testicular biopsy we have made bilateral testicular biopsy to 67 cases and we have defined histopathological differance between right and left testes in 22 cases. Patients having better spermatogenetic findingsin other testis who are diagnosed as germ cell aplasia or complete maturation arrest by unilateral testicular biopsy shows new horizons for us. These cases show us the importance of bilateral testicular biopsy.
