Immune system cells need interference?s with other cells to be active and response to infections and inflammatory processes. Adhesion molecules, their structural analysis and cell types were described by molecular biology, have important roles in relationships between the endothelial cells and leukocytes. Discovery of adhesion molecules have allowed us to understand the pathogenesis of inflammatory diseases and thus the process of inflammation.
