aDermatoloji Kliniği, bPatoloji Kliniği, Ankara Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi, ANKARA Darier’s disease (DD) is a genodermotosis with autosomal dominant inheritance manifested clinically by discrete hyperkeratotic papules with a predilection to seborrheic areas. We present a 42-year-old male presenting with three different types of lesions. In addition to characteristic lesions of DD distributed on his face, scalp, upper trunk, palmoplantar regions, nails and oral mucosa, he also had several comedones and pitted scars on his face, scalp and anterior aspect of his trunk. Histopathologic examinations revealed characteristic features of DD. He presented with a nodule on his frontal scalp region assumed syringocystadenoma papilliferum (SP), a benign hamartomatous tumor of the skin, confirmed by biopsy. Comedonal DD is a rarely reported subtype. We would like to present this case as this is the first case to our knowledge reporting an association between comedonal DD and SS.Keywords: Darier’s disease, syringocystadenoma papilliferumTurkiye Klinikleri J Med Sci 2007, 27:286-289
