Generally; it comes out by factors of macro or micro traumas, excessive myoactivity and myotendinitis associated with congenital lesions. In this case; we pres-ent a patient with unusual anatomical features of thoracic outlet.
Case: Herein; we present a case of a young woman in which scalene muscles lost their own features and became as fibrous bundles. Transaxillary first and cervical rib re-section with scalenotomy was performed.
Conclusion: With existent narrow anatomical structure of this region; any compressive factor leads TOS in all cases, easily. Thus; resection of first and cervical rib with transaxillary approach is the best choice of treatment. Keywords: Thoracic Outlet SyndromesTurkiye Klinikleri J Med Sci 2003, 23:476-479
