Vestibular Tests And Their Interpretation: Review

The vestibular system attains static and kinetic balance with the visual, cerebellar and proprioceptive systems. Although ever-improving methods such as computerized tomography and magnetic resonance imaging are employed to determine potential pathologies of these systems and to locate their focus (i.e. peripheral or central), tests such as electronystagmography, rotatory chair and dynamic posturography remain applicable approaches since they are cost effective and easy to perform.
