Facial Orf

** Dr., Harran Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Patoloji AD, ŞANLIURFA Background: The virus is a poxvirus which accidentally infects human at the site of an abrasion or bite. The infection in humans is usually characterized by solitary papul on fingers and hands. Orf lesions has rarely been reported on the face or head, and it can be presented as an atypical, multiple lesions.
Case: In this case, 30 years old male is presented with two facial orf lesions that contaminated from goat.
Conclusion: Awareness of the benign nature and good prognosis of disease by physicians may avoid unnecessary testing, surgery and medical treatments.Keywords: Ecthyma, ContagiousTurkiye Klinikleri J Med Sci 2003, 23:412-415
