A 19 year-old female patient presented to our clinic complaining of left ear pain, discharge, tinnitus and hearing loss. After physical examination, CT and MRI were performed. CT scan demonstrated a destructive mass in the petrous area and mastoid process of the left temporal bone, which filled the external auditory channel, middle ear and internal aquistic channel, and compressed both left cerebellar hemisphere and temporal lobe, invading the left sigmoid sinus. Subsequent MRI examination demonstrated the mass to be compressing the cysternal and canalicular portions of the 7th and 8th cranial nerves. Biopsy of the lesion resulted in the diagnosis of embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma. The tumor was classified as T2bN0M0 and stage II in accordance with the TNM classification. CT scans of the abdomen and thorax were normal. The patient was administered 8 cycles of chemotherapy and 57 grays of radiotherapy.
