Purpose: An unusual case of a osteochondroma of the rib is presented. Case Report: An 18 year old female was admitted to our clinic with the complaint of mass on the left chest wall. The result of the biopsy was compatible with an osteochondroma. Because of pain, cosmetical reasons and probable malignant degeneration, we resected the mass and part of the 3rd rib. Result: Postoperative period was uneventful and the patient was discharged on the 2nd postoperative day.Keywords: Osteochondroma, RibsTurkiye Klinikleri J Med Sci 2003, 23:242-244
