Surgical Treatment Routes Of Thoracic Outlet Syndrome

** Doç.Dr., Ankara Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Göğüs Cerrahisi AD, ANKARA Thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS); is a syndrome with compression at the thoracic outlet of syndrome arteria subclavia, vena subclavia and brachial plexus, and composed of different symptoms. The basic factor which is responsible for this condition is compression of the thoracic outlet and neurovascular structures. There are many approachments in TOS treatment. After the exact diagnosis, conservative treatment should be carried out and results should be evaluated, Surgical treatment should be carried out when conservative treatment has failed. Among the surgical treatment routes; the most common route is resection of first rib and cervical rib, if it exists.
