Local Cardiovascular Control Mechanisms
Nuran EKERBİÇER*, Mustafa ÖZBEK*
* Yrd.Doç.Dr.,Celal Bayar Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Fizyoloji AD, MANİSA The controlled interactions by cardiovascular functions can take place at several levels. In this study; we pointed out that, endothelial factors, myogenic factors and metabolic factors. The vascular endothelial structure plays an important role in the local regulation of vascular tone by the release of vasodilator and vasoconstrictor substances. Endothelin and angiotensin II, two members of these substance, affect to increase vascular resistance. However, endothelium-derived relaxing factor and prostacyclin are two major vasodilator factors. The myogenic factors of blood flow autoregulation is a physical response of smooth muscle cells against the vascular transmural pressure differences. But metabolic factors are sensitive against the fluctuations of pH, pO2 and pCO2 in peripheral tissue. For this situation, specially the differences of the amount of the blood adenosine are characteristics on the vascular tone. The rewieved studies could not show a priority of given mechanisms about local control of circulation. However, the metabolic factors; which effect the all tissues of organism, may have a special importance. Keywords: Local factors, Cardiovascular control mechanismsTurkiye Klinikleri J Med Sci 2002, 22:227-232
