Radiocontrast Nephropathy

Radiocontrast nephropathy (RCN) is a most common cause of hospital acquired acute renal failure. Underlying renal insufficiency is the most important predisposing factor in the development of RCN. Although the clinical features have been well known, the pathogenesis and propyhlaxis are not completely understood.
