In A Medical Hospital’s Health Workers Incisive And Perforating Injury Epidemiologies And Prevention Behaviours And Attitudes

Especially for diseases such as Hepatitis and AIDS are, there is no effective treatment exists and their prognosis, progressing on a critical ways.In this study: plan was to reach, all assistant doctor, nurses, medical school is 6th grade students which are on their final term, other health workers (laboratory workers, technicians, biologist etc.), persons who work as a cleaner and had reached average of 450 people.Average age for the workers reached in this study 26.86± 4.74, average of working time 2.34± 2.02 years, and the workers who got injured within the last one year 36.2%and injuries was mostly caused by the injectors. Some of the injured people’s injuring object contaminated by diseased people’s blood or liquid average rate was 37.2%. 52.4%of the group were wearing glove, and 48.0%of the group stated that, they were having regularly vaccination of hepatitis B. 64%of the doctors were vaccinated against Hepatitis B, but only 2.7% of the cleaners were vaccinated for Hepatitis B. 28.8% of the group didn’t know any sort of information about Hepatitis B and 90.2%of them were working for the cleaning company.Keywords: Health Manpower, BloodTurkiye Klinikleri J Med Sci 2002, 22:390-396
