The antiphospholipid syndrome consists clinically of both arterial and venous thrombosis, recurrent fetal loss and thrombocytopenia associated with antiphospholipid antibodies. Most of these patients were initially found to suffer from systemic lupus erythematosus. However, sometimes, the antiphospholipid syndrome may be related to some drugs, syphylis, Lyme disease and some viruses. It had been reported that, the antiphospholipid syndrome which is related to viral infections, may not exibit venous thrombosis.
In this case report, we present a patient with deep venous thrombosis of the lower extremity veins and positive for lupus anticoagulant, which are developed after measles.
