*** Dr.,GATA İç Hastalıkları AD, ANKARA Role of B7-CD28 costimulatory pathway in pathogenesis of chronic diseases is characterized by disturbances during the immun response. Signaling of TH type I cell is the main mechanism in the pathogenesis of autoimmune and granulomatous disease. In those cases, B7 molecules can induce the producing of TH cells as pathology continue. Although up-regulation of B7 in inflammmatory tissues is a seconder proccess. The ratio of type I / type II TH cells causes the anergy by disturbing the cellular immunity. However, what causes both expression of B7 and increasing expression of CTLA-4 receptor or total decreasing of costimulation by the decreasing CD28 molecules, are under investigation. Keywords: Autoimmun disease,
