Regeneration is a complementary hyperplasic and / or hyperthophic tissue response that occurs against tissue loss or destruction. Tissue loss may often develop in various clinical situations such as bone loss which occurs as a result of bone fractures or destruction following a traffic accident; nerve crush and cut; muscle injury and during the treatment period of liver cancer and cysts. The early elimination of tissue loss is significant with considering the health of the patients.
This study is performed in order to review recent literature about organs and tissues in which clinically important regeneration mechanisms are observed and also the related factors influencing this mechanism.Keywords: Regeneration, mechanism, clinicTurkiye Klinikleri J Med Sci 1999, 19:169-183
