A Case Of Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Type-2apresenting With Supraventricular Arrhythmia

A 49 years old male patient was sent to our hospital because of syncope. We found supraventricular arrhythmia on his admission electrocardiography. He was having a therapy of thyroid medullar cancer and he had palpitation attacks, vertigo and sweating symptoms for one year. Clinically, hypotension and hypertension attacks were seen during hospitalization. In the laboratory examinations; vanillylmandelic acid, metanephrine levels were found to be high in urine. Pheochromocytoma was diagnosed and surgical exploration was made. Then pathologically the diagnosis was confirmed. So he was investigated as multipl endocrine neoplasia syndrome because of pheochromocytoma and his history of medullar thyroid cancer.Keywords: Hypertension, arrhythmia, pheochromocytoma,
