Conjoined Twins: A Case Report Of Thoraco-omphalopagus

Conjoined twinning is a rare anomaly occurring in approximately 1 percent of all monozygotic twins. The most common type of conjoined twins is thoracopagus, where the twins are joined at the thorax. Prerequsites for the diagnosis of this condition include confirmation of a monoamniotic twin pregnancy with close approximation of both embryonic/fetal structures, and possible dependent motion of both embryos and fetuses.
