The Role Of Estrogens In Improving Plasma Lipid Profile Andpreventing Lipid Peroxidation In Antiatherogenic Effects

Present data revealed that post-menopausal estrogen replacement therapy played a crucial role in prevention of atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases. Up to day, multiple mechanisms related to estrogen replacement therapy-induced antiatherogenic effect has been described. In this review, effects of estrogens on plasma lipid profile and preventive effects on lipid peroxidation has been discussed.Keywords: Estrogens, Plasma lipid profile,
