Determination Of Levels Of Vitamins A Ande In The Serum Of Type Ii Diabetes Mellitus Patientsby High Performance Liquid Chromatography(hplc)

In this study, the amount of fasting glucose, glycated hemoglobin (HbA1C), vitamins A and E have been investigated for 45 patients with type II diabetes mellitus, aging between 35 to 65 and 21 healty subjects aging between 32 to 55. Glucose, HbA1C%, vitamins A and E levels of patients were 168.69±7.93 mg/dl, 7.80±0.16, 671.42±42.66 µg/L, 867.26±33.57 µg/dl, whereas those of control group were 94.86±2.80 mg/dl, 4.04±0.05, 702.72±48.74 µg/L, 765.57±44.70 µg/dl, respectively. Glucose (p<0.001), HbA1C% (p<0.001), vitamin A (p<0.001) and vitamin E (p<0.01) levels of patients group were found to be significiantly different than those of the control group.Keywords: HPLC, Type II diabetes mellitus,
