Clostridial Cellulitis (a Case Report)

Clostridial cellulitis is a disease that is usually caused by the Clostridium perfringens, and it is characterized with the accumulation of gas along the soft tissues. The prognosis of this disease that rarely appears is good. However, that clostridial cellulitis is frequently misdiagnosed as gas gangrene causes the unnecessary amputations. We reported the case of 18 -year-old male with clostridial cellulitis in the right upper extremity, hemithorax and abdomen secondary to a minimal cut in his hand. He healed rapidly by the treatment of penicillin G, and the surgical treatment wasn't necessary.
