Heparin Induced Thrombocytopenia

Heparin remains the most commonly parenteral medication in hospitalized patients. Heparin induced trombocytopenia (HIT) is important complication of heparin. Treatment of HIT were included heparinoids such as Danaproid or direct trombin inhibitors such as Hirudin. The early diagnosis and treatment to HIT were decreased the rate of mortality. The best therapeutic strategy for HIT remains to be confirmed in larger clinical trials.Keywords: Heparin, Thrombocytopenia,
