This study presents a retrospective analysis of 44 cases with Ewing's sarcoma. The lower extremities were involved in twenty-two cases, the upper extremities in thirteen cases and the pelvis in nine cases. Eleven patients were treated with adjuvant chemotherapy ± pre-operative radiation therapy and surgery. Seventeen patients received chemotherapy and radiation therapy, without surgery. Two patients were treated with chemotherapy alone. Finally, fourteen patients were treated with neo-adjuvant chemotherapy, surgery and post-operative radiation therapy. Seventeen of the twenty-five cases that were treated with surgery had limb salvage, seven patients received ablative surgery and one patient had spinal surgery. Complete remission was achieved in eight patients. Keywords: Ewing's sarcoma, multimodal therapy, surgeryTurkiye Klinikleri J Med Sci 2001, 21:270-277
