Changing Trends In Medical Education And An Example Ofproblem-based Learning In Medicine: Maastricht University/holland

*Uz.Dr., Uludağ Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Aile Hekimliği AD, BURSA The ultimate goal of education is the acquisition of knowledge and the ability to apply it in practice. With this purpose, beside traditional education system many alternative educational systems have been suggested in all over the world. Problem-based learning (PBL), one of the educational approachs was first introduced during the 1960's and since then it has been developed rather well nowadays. PBL can be described as a student-centered educational approach to learning and instruction in which students tackle problems or cases in small groups under the supervision of a tutor.
