Annular Giant Cell Elastolytic Granuloma(o'brien's Actinic Granuloma)

Actinic granuloma is characterized by the development of annular plaques on sun-exposed skin, especially on the face. These plaques enlarge very slowly, developing slightly raised borders. Although the term of actinic granuloma is a subject of debate in dematological nosology, histopathological features are of some value in distinguishing actinic granuloma from other granulomatous diseases.
We report a 65-year-old man presenting with one year history of a slowly enlarging annular plaque on his right temporo-frontal region. A punch biopsy from the lesional skin revealed a granulomatous disease with numerous giant cells and increased elastotic material.Keywords: Annular giant cell elastolytic granuloma,
