Lymphoid Tumors Of Orbita And Three Cases

Primary malign tumors of orbita are very rare. Also prognoses of these tumors are poor. Malign lymphoma, rhabdomyosarcoma and lacrimal gland tumors form most of the cases.
Between 1990-1995 three lacrimal gland tumor cases were treated in our department. Local control is achieved in all cases. One of the cases recurred five years after primary treatment as distant organ metastasis. In other two cases follow-up, there is still no local or distant recurrence. All of the cases are alive.
In this study efficacy and importance of radiotherapy for lacrimal gland tumor are discussed.Keywords: Lacrimal Gland, RadiotherapyTurkiye Klinikleri J Med Sci 2001, 21:512-514
